在 Windows 7 Boot Loader 中啟動 Ubuntu

過農曆年期間十分清閒，又有時間試 Linux。今次想在 desktop 上用 separate partition 裝 (即是傳統的安娤法)，但不想影響原本的 Windows (已經是 multi-boot)。

由於我有兩隻 harddisk，便先在 BIOS 把 2nd HD 調上來，然後把 Ubuntu 及 GRUB (Linux 的 boot loader) 裝在這 2nd HD 上，便可以用這 HD boot Ubuntu。在 GRUB 中亦見到 Windows 的項目。

不過這 GRUB 長相實在難看，亦不能任我調動次序。我又把 BIOS 的次序還原，還是從 1st HD 用 Windows boot loader， boot 起 Windows 7。

然後呢，用一個免費軟件： EasyBCD

選 Add New Entry,  選 Linux/BCD,  選 GRUB 2 (這是 Ubuntu 10 起用的，舊版應選 GRUB)，改個好名字，Add Entry :

在 Windows Boot Manager 中見到：

選擇 Ubuntu，仍會先見到 GRUB 的選單。如果想直接進入 Ubuntu，又要更改設定。
在 Ubuntu Software Center 安裝 StartUp-Manager :

然後在 Startup Manager 中把 “逾時” 設為 0 秒，便不會見到 GRUB 選單了。但記住不要搞亂 “預設作業系統”，否則不知如何救。

據網上傳說，就算只得一隻harddisk，又已經被 GRUB 破壞了 Windows Boot Manager，也可以先由 GRUB boot 起 Windows，安裝 EasyBCD，然後把 Windows Boot Manager 砌出來。這危險動作我可不敢試，若已經中招的朋友不妨一試。
